The Dog Head on a Human Body Portrait

dog human body portrait

Hello, here’s something bit different to show you. Anthropomorphic dog art is becoming more and more popular. Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, and intentions to non-humans, and in our case dogs. Here’s two examples that we’ve just finished. One dog is painted in military uniform and the one below in period dress.

Why do people want their dogs painted with a human body?

A lot of the time people just want something a bit unique and fun. For example some dogs can be quite bossy and so we’ve been asked to paint them as a Sargeant Major as it suits their dog’s personality. Or we’ve painted a dog called Watson as Dr. Watson due to his name. We’ve painted dogs as Royalty or historical figures and I have to say the result can be breath-taking. What’s great about having your dog painted in uniform or dress is you can choose the attire you want your dog painted in that suits their personality.

What do you need to do?
